ROPE BRIDLES

#14. PLAIN SPLICED ROPE BRIDLE

This is our standard spliced rope bridle with centre woven browband.

There is absolutely no hardware on these bridles to deteriorate, rust or break, they are soft feeling to the horse yet extremely strong and durable and will outlast many leather bridles and when they get soiled you just put them in the washing machine.

We use these bridles daily, they adjust from a small cob/arab up to a full size. Custom made sizes available.

#15. HORSEMANS BUDGET SPLICED ROPE BRIDLE with/without TASSEL

These bridles are exactly the same as the above bridle with a tassel added at the centre of the browband, this tassel is looped and stitched into place or if you prefer and want just a great everyday work bridle we can leave the tassel off. These bridles are made from the same rope as all of our other products but as it is a little more economical for us to purchase we are able to pass the savings on to you. These have the same great long lasting and tough wearing properties. These are exceptional every day bridles and when they get dirty just put them in the washing machine.

These adjust from a small arab/cob size to full. Customised sizes available.

#16. SPLICED ROPE BRIDLE with CENTRE TASSEL

These are our standard spliced rope bridle with a western rope tassel added at the centre of the browband for a little bit of western flair!

#17. WOVEN BROWBAND SPLICED ROPE BRIDLE

These are a very popular seller for us. They are based on our standard spliced bridle but we interweave the browband to give it this scalloped appearance, we have custom made a few where we have added and sewn in a crystal bead to each of the scallops which looks great also.

#18. BRAIDED BROWBAND BRIDLE

These are our standard spliced bridle heads with the browband braided. The braiding is done with parachute cord from the USA and uses 2 colours or one if you prefer. The braiding not only dresses up the bridle head but also adds stiffness to the browband and allows it to hold its shape well while it is on your horse.

#19. SPLICED ROPE BRIDLE with CENTRE KNOT

This is once again our standard spliced rope bridle head with a continuous centre knot added to the browband. This is the knot that in Vaquero times symbolized a finished bridle horse and would be worn around the horses neck and centred on its chest.

#20. KNOTTED ROPE BRIDLE

These are the original style of bridle that we made and are constructed entirely using the double overhand knot. These are easily adjusted to fit most horses and just like our spliced bridles are long lasting and very serviceable.

#21. KNOTTED ROPE BRIDLE with FUTURITY KNOT

These are constructed based on the knotted bridle style but we have changed these slightly and added a central futurity knot to the brow, this means a bit more work for us but I think that the end result is very much worth it.

#22. TWO EARRED WESTERN KNOTTED ROPE BRIDLE

This is our latest style of bridle available. It is constructed using double overhand knots and is fully adjustable through the cheek peices and unlike allot of 2 ear bridles this one does have a throat latch for extra security.

We also make a one earred version which is exactly the same but has only one ear peice, if you would prefer the one earred version please specify which side you want the ear peice to sit.

We can also add rope tassels to both styles to dress them up a little as seen in the picture to the right. The one earred style will have one tassel on the same side as the earpeice.

These are available in all colours to match our bridles, strong and easy to fit, they are a great addition to any of our bridle styles.

#24. BRIDLE and REINS SET

This set includes a bridle head of your choice (excluding the braided browband or the futurity knot type) and a set of 7 foot split reins with either clips or loops on the bit end or a set of 9 foot stockmen/sporting reins with clips on the bit end.

If you choose the split rein option you can add machine cut tan/brown slobber straps to the loop ends for an additional $20.00 and also add a matching rope chin strap for an extra $6.50.

BRIDLE, REINS, HALTER and LEAD SET

#52. BRIDLE, REINS, HALTER and LEAD SET

Want a matching set and save some money at the same time? This package includes a halter and lead with no hardware, a knotted bridle head, chin strap and either 6 foot split reins with clips or loops or a 9ft stockmens rein, all you will need is a bit of your choice and slobber straps if you use them. You pick the colour, the size, the type of rein and what attachment you want (either clips or loops) and we will make up a matching set for you. These are great as gifts or if you just need to replace some of your equipment and find it hard to match colours. If you were to purchase these items seperately it would cost up to $152.50 so by purchasing the set you will be saving over $27.

COMPLETE BRIDLES

#25. COMPLETE BRIDLE SET

This is a great way to purchase a complete bridle. The set includes a bridle head, chin strap, snaffle bit and reins. You can choose any of our bridle head styles (excluding the braided brow style and the centre futurity knot style), a chin strap, snaffle bit and either a set of 6 foot split reins (with either clips, loops or slobber straps) or 9 foot stockman/sporting reins with clips, all for the same price and in the colour of your choice. You will save up to $35 by purchasing the complete set.

The snaffle bit that you will receive is a medium mouth 5-51/2 inch with a sweet iron mouthpeice. If you choose the option with slobber straps these will be either tan or brown in colour, machine cut slobber straps.

Please note that postage on these sets is set at $12.50.

ROPE REINS

#26. ROPE REINS

These reins are constructed using either 12 or 14mm rope, they are end spliced and stitched with the correct eye splice where necessary, they can be finished with clips for ease at attaching and detaching. The standard split reins are 6 to 7 foot long, other lengths available made to order. These reins are a very good thickness and have plenty of weight in them especially usefull for western trained horses.

Please note:- If you order reins with Slobber straps they will be machine cut and tan/brown in colour.

#50. HORSEMANS PERFORMANCE SPLIT REINS

These are our top of the range reins and are suitable for training or competition. They are 7 foot in length with machine cut pre-oiled heavy slobber straps and leather poppers on the end. They feature the correct class one eye splice and are backspliced on the popper end for extra weight. Good looking and serviceable, these will last a lifetime and look good for just as long.

These reins are also constructed using 12 or 14mm rope, they are end spliced and stitched with the correct eye splice at the bit end, they can be finished with clips for ease of attaching and detaching or slobber straps. The standard split reins are 7 foot long, other lengths available made to order.

BRAIDED SPLIT REINS

#49. BRAIDED SPLIT REINS

These are hand braided by ourselves in either 6 or 7 foot lengths (other lengths made to order). These are braided using pre-shrunk 550 paracord which is extremely strong (originally manufactured for use  as the cords on parachutes) yet light weight and has a good feel in your hand. These are done using a flat eight plait and square eight plait braid and have a finished width of  3/4 of an inch. They are finished off with decorative knots, leather poppers and button hole attachment for the bit ends, alternatively we can flat braid these ends and add a clip for ease of attaching to the bit if you prefer. These are currently available in either brown, tan or black, custom colours available, please contact us for options.

COMPLETE BOSAL and HACKAMORE SETS

#51. SOFT HACKAMORE with BRAIDED NOSE and MECATE REIN

Great for training or just everyday riding this soft hackamore setup is based on the design of the halter with a little extra circumference to allow for the tying of the mecate rein. The mecate rein is 20 foot in total which gives you a rein of about 9 feet and a step down or lead rope of approximately 8-10 feet, these lengths are adjustable to suit the individual horse and rider. The mecate rein has a leather popper on the lead end and we braid across the noseband on the halter/hackamore to add some stiffness and stability to the nose. These are very popular especially in the USA and we start more then 95% of our own young horses in a set up like this before a bit is ever introduced to them. A great alternative to putting a bit in your horses mouth.
