 THE AVAILABLE MARES LIST WILL BE PUBLISHED HERE  MID AUGUST 2009, IF THERE IS A PARTICULAR MARE THAT YOU MAY BE INTERESTED IN USING PLEASE EXPRESS YOUR INTEREST EARLY.

Some of you may remember a few years back when we first introduced this program, we have not actively advertised this program over the past 3 seasons but due to demand will now re-introduce this program for the coming 2009 season. Over the next few weeks we will be updating this page with information for interested parties and will also finalise an 'Available Mares List' as soon as possible. In the meantime if you would like some further information on this program and find out how you too can breed a foal of your own, please feel free to contact us after reading the following basic outline.

BASIC OUTLINE

* This program is designed to allow almost anyone to breed a foal of their own by using one of our broodmares and having her bred to one of our stallions. This eliminates the cost of having to purchase a quality broodmare, care of such mare and once the resulting foal is weaned there is no responsibility towards such mare. It also gives the client the opportunity to use a very well bred, good natured and  well conformed mare that they may otherwise not have had the opportunity or financial means to purchase.

* During the breeding, gestation, birth, rearing to weaning age, weaning and initial handling of the resulting foal the client will be required to make 18 equal monthly payments towards the purchase of such foal, ranging from approximately $250 -$350 per month (plus gst). This price depends on what mare the client chooses and what stallion they nominate to cover such mare. All of our stallion fees carry a 25% discount when used with this program meaning that a service to one of our stallions may cost you as little as $500.

* The 18 equal monthly payments include:-

* Once all payments have been completed and the foal is weaned and handled, the foal then becomes the property of the client as the client will have fulfilled their obligation by completing in full and on time all payments.

* Ky-ean Stud will also offer a ' Buy Back Scheme' on selected foals at our discretion, and assistance in selling all foals bred through this program based on a competitive commission fee.

* We anticipate that we will be able to offer between 6-10 mares for clients to use this coming season and it will operate on a 'first in, best dressed' basis. The mares offered will be Quarter Horse, Appaloosa and Paint mares subject to availability.

* A written and legally binding contract will be entered into by Ky-ean Stud and the client setting out the stud and clients responsibilities and giving a 'Foal Guarentee', it will also detail the clients responsibilities and the exact amount of monthly payments.

* To book at place in this program a ' Non-Refundable' booking fee of $250 plus gst will apply which will guarentee the client a place in this program.

This mare is very popular, we have offered her just a few times for use with this program and each time she has been under contract very quickly. Janey is currently in foal to Peptos Blue Boon and will be ready to be bred around mid November.

Appaloosa Mares

The following 2 mares are being offered on the proviso that the health of our old stallion 'Into Mischief' stays breeding sound. We do not currently have an Appaloosa stallion of breeding age so these mares would have to be bred to Into Mischief to obtain a registerable foal, as long as the old horses health continues these mares will be offered with this program. If the stallions health should deteriorate or he fails to settle mares we will refund the booking fees.
