INSURANCE FOR HORSES. We strongly recommend to all purchasers that they take out insurance for any horse during the term payment period and/or transport to their destination. We are able to organise insurance on behalf of purchasers. HOLDING DEPOSITS are available and calculated on 10% of the particular horses purchase price and are non-refundable. A holding deposit will hold a horse from being sold for a 2 week period. If you place a holding deposit and then go through with the purchase the amount of the holding deposit will be deducted off the horses purchase price. Term payment plans are still available in conjunction with a holding deposit being placed. TERM PAYMENT PLANS are available on all of the horses that we offer for sale. These payment plans are based on a 20% deposit on agreement of sale and an approximate 3 month payment period. The payment period can be extended, conditions apply. The purchaser is responsible for any drenching, farriery and/or vet fees during such time.

1998 Red Leopard Appaloosa mare,14.2-14.3hh. Lovely quiet mare and a good type as well with some valuable colour and breeding. A great set of legs, pretty head and excellent attitude as well as being a true leopard, she is a valuable performance bred mare and only being offered for sale due to us retaining another sister. This mare has been started under saddle and is pictured on her second saddling and ride, she has had 4 weeks work under saddle. She started very nicely, super cool and easy going and has now been turned out during the breeding season. She will require an intermediate rider to further her education under saddle. 'Promise' will be bought back into work around the beginning of February, once she is back under saddle her price will increase accordingly.

mare to handle until she gets to know you, her foals are very quiet and cool

Super well bred mare, easy to get along with and very nicely conformed BUT............. we bought this mare as a broodmare only and discovered after her last foal became ill 2 days after its birth that this mare, if bred to a stallion of a different blood type will cause 'neonatal isoerythrolysis' in her foals. This is a blood in-compatability that will basically break down the foals red blood cells if it is allowed to consume her colostrum. This disorder is rare and completely preventable by not allowing the foal to drink the mares colostrum for the first 48 hours of its life, another source of colostrum or substitute must be found and fed to the newborn foal for the first 48 hours of its life, after this initial 48 hours and regular stripping of the mares udder until her colostrum has been depleted, her foal can then nurse from her as normal. Estelle would be a great
buy for the smaller breeder who can afford this 48 hours of intense work,
Estelle was put back under saddle after a 4 year break, and did not put a foot wrong, with further work we believe that this mare will best suit an intermediate rider for stock work, drafting, sporting, pony club or pleasure, she has now been turned back out for approximately the last 8 months so will require an intermediate rider to get her going again under saddle.

NOTICE TO POTENTIAL PURCHASERS Please GENUINE ENQUIRIES ONLY, in the past few months we have had numerous people default on the sale of horses (some genuine, some not), we understand that life can throw us all a few curve balls from time to time but the last few months has just been ridiculous as far as buyer defaults and 'tyre kickers'. We are pretty easy going people and have been in this business for more than 16 years now, we try and be as fair as possible with purchasers, represent our horses honestly and allow most anyone the opportunity to purchase the horse or their dreams through our Term Payment Plans, but be honest with yourself, if you do not have the potential to pay and care for the horse you are interested in or the experience necessary to handle, educate and care for that horse then please do not waste our time or your own. We are very happy to offer advise, solutions to any problems you may have and offer you a genuine and open run down on any of our horses available but 'time wasters', 'tyre kickers', 'window shoppers' or what ever you want to label them just make the whole buying and selling experience frustrating and unpleasant for all involved and it need not be that way at all. If you expect a seller to be honest and courteous with you then please extend them the same privilege and don't waste their time. We simply do not have the time to deal with tyre kickers and time wasters who make it onto our 'do not deal with list'. We continually have people make appointments to view horses and these people do not even show up or bother to phone to cancel the appointment, this is what most sellers deal with every day, so please show some common decency and honesty and you will be shown the same in return.
