Welcome to the web site of Ky-ean Appaloosa, Paint and Quarter Horse Stud. We have been seriously breeding 'good looking working horses' for more than 15 years now with an emphasis on sound conformation, people friendly temperament, athletic ability and proven bloodlines. We breed our horses specifically for Cutting, Reining, Camp Drafting and Rodeo events but have also bred horses that have been very successful at Halter, Trail, Western Pleasure and Show Jumping as well as horses that have excelled as all round pleasure mounts for the whole family.

We have horses in all states of Australia and have successfully exported horses to Taiwan and New Caledonia and have had genuine interest from as far as Scotland, Italy, Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

Our years of hard work have also accumulated in us breeding, showing and owning

bulletMulti-National Performance Champions
bulletOpen Performance Champions
bulletNational Grand Champions at Halter
bulletNational Champion Performance Horses as well as
bulletHigh Point Halter Horses and
bulletHigh Point Performance Horses.

Conformation, temperament and breeding are guaranteed in our horses, colour is a bonus.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - EQUINE INFLUENZA

Due to the outbreak of Equine Influenza (E.I), Ky-ean Stud has had its gates closed since the end of August 2007. From the 1st of February we will be allowing limited pre-purchase inspections. People wishing to inspect any of our horses are asked to have no contact with any other horses 48 hours prior to entering our property. Inspections will be by appointment only with absolutely no "walk ins" permitted onto the property. Weekends are the only time inspections will be available and each day will be limited to 2 inspections. If you wish to inspect any of our horses please phone us at least 1 week prior to an inspection to make an appointment. Sorry this may sound harsh but with light finally appearing at the end of the EI tunnel we feel that this is no time to become complacent. Thankyou for your co-operation.

For further information and up to date information on Equine Influenza please go to http://www.equestrian.org.au/   or   http://www.horsecouncil.org.au or call the Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.
