BUYER TESTIMONIALS

We have put together a selection of people who we have dealt with in the last 12-18 months, there are many more who are in the process of emailing their testimonials to us and we will post them here as they come in. Some of our past clients have become unreachable, so if you are a past client of ours, if you bought a horse from us, we trained or broke in a horse for you or sold a horse on your behalf please feel free to send us an email and let us know how you and your horse are going and how you felt about your experience with us, any feedback is greatly appreciated.

bulletHi Kylie and Dean,

I have owned various horses since I was ten years old and have had many experiences buying horses over the years. I want to congratulate you both on your friendly proffesional manner and in the way you treated me whilst in the process of purchasing my stock horse Murphy.
Murphy is an unregistered stock horse 3yo and wasnt one of your more expensive registered stock however I felt I was treated with 5star attention throughout my dealings with you regardless.
Your description of Murphy was accurate and your communication via email, sms and phone was excellent, prompt and informative.
Murphy arrived in beautiful condition and exuded health. Murphy is a gentleman and has broken in beautifully and is all that I dreamed and hoped for in a horse to take me into my older years. He is kind natured and has obviously not had any bad experiences with humans in the past.
Thankyou so much for your help with arranging transport, dental work and also for my lovely headstall which was a total surprise.
Murphy obviously had a great start to life being brought up on Kyean Stud. I would not hesitate in recommending you as breeders to family and friends, and to buy from you again in future.
Kind Regards
Anni Nightingale
Maitland NSW.

bulletHi Kylie, I hope all is well in your part of the world.

I bought my little filly Ky-ean Spins No I Dier from you earlier this year, and just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know that Ruby (aka Cricket) is doing really well.  She is going great under saddle and is a fun and happy little horse to have around, even is she is rather cheeky.  Everyone always teases us about how short she is, but as they say, good things come in small packages.  She broke in without any  fuss at all, and seems to really love her work.  We went to the David Norbury clinic a couple of months ago, which was her first float trip since arriving.  Everyone there was amazed at how calm she was in the indoor arena for the first time. We even went to our first show together last month, and came home with three 3rds and a 4th!  She absolutely loved it all - not fussed or worried about anything going on around her.  Ruby even gave the trail class a decent go, showing up some of the much more experienced horses!

I am so impressed with the quality of this little girl's temperament - would love to find another!  I honestly thought she would be a rather flighty and shy horse, but once I'd earnt her trust, it seems she is as bold and brave as any I know.  Ruby is such an easy horse to do anything with - I have even started roping off her!!  She goes out on the roads by herself, and couldn't care less about the other horses when out in a group.  (Much safe than my 8yo to take out!).  She is the first one at the gate when you go to catch her, and I'm sure she understands the phrase "do you wanna go for a ride?", and she gets quite upset if she misses out!.

It was an absolute pleasure dealing with you, and I am truely greatful for the honest and detailed information you provided, as well as the help getting in touch with the transport company.  This is the first time I have ever bought a horse sight unseen (something we all say we'll never do!), but I am so glad that I took the risk.  If she is anything to go by, you guys are doing a fantastic job with the Appaloosa breed.  I love her to bits, and am so greatful for the chance to have such a special horse in my life.

Thankyou again, Julie Laughton, South Australia.

bulletHi Kylie,

Just writing to let you know that we had our presentation night recently and my beautiful girl Kellanys Promise won HIGH POINT APPALOOSA MARE and yes she had competition all of the time. She has even taken out SUPREME APPALOOSA. I AM SO HAPPY WITH HER! She has even had her picture in the paper several times when we have been out with the trail riding club, that's beacuse she is the best looking horse there. She is so lovely and quiet and takes everything calmly. I am almost 60 now and I feel so safe with her. Next year we will be riding in the western ring and have no doubt doing very well.

Thankyou Kylie for selling her to me, she is everything that you said she was and in these times it is so good to find someone so honest about the horses that you sell. I would recommend you and your horses to anyone. Thank you yet again. Take care. Dianne Mickkelson and Promise, Bundaberg QLD PS... I LOVE HER TO BITS......

bulletI am writing this to show my appreciation and to thank Kylie and Ky-ean Appaloosa, Paint and Quarter Horse Stud for giving me the opportunity to purchase such a pleasant well mannered hose as my "Shamus", (Ky-ean Could Be A Spin). I trusted in their reputation when purchasing him and I am not disappointed. Also a huge thankyou to them for offering the Training Subsidy with No Fear Equine Education, without  that extra time after initial basic educating I would have had a much bigger job on my hands. Shamus is trusting and willing to try anything. Being a young horse he needed to experience as much as possible and Clayton gave him that. I just hope that I can keep up the good work that Kylie and Clayton have done with him.Kylie has kept in touch along the way and always goes out of her way to help if I had or have any questions, I would not hesitate in suggesting Ky-ean Stud to anybody who may be looking to purchase a horse and know that it will be what they say it is. Congratulations Kylie on running such an honest business and for the helpfulness in providing the Training Subsidy for those who may wish to use it, I definately believe that it is the way to go. Thanks again, Debbie Rake, NSW.

bulletHi Kylie, It is Kristy Page here from Victoria. I bought an overo colt 'Smart Little Hillbilly' from you. Just wanted to let you know that he is going great!!! He has 7 foals to hit the ground next season which will be very exciting. He was a pleasure and absolute gentleman with every mare that he served. He is so quiet to handle in every way. Hasn't been broken in but I can jump all over him and ride him in a head collar and lead bareback in the yards. Very happy with him!!!! I will send some photos after his foals hit the ground. Thank you very much for the best horse I have ever owned!!!!

bullet Kylie,This is my opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to both you and Dean for giving me the chance to purchase Skippy (Delpine Direct Ruler).

I purchased Skip a 3 year old Appaloosa gelding, sight unseen from Ky-ean on a payment plan and I could not be happier, he has a beautiful nature so loving he is really just a great horse all round.

Kylie's honesty is rare , he is everything that I was told he would be, the whole process from start to finish has been a pleasing one.

Thank you both once again for a wonderful horse

bulletKylie and Dean,

Thank you for your assistance in the purchase of our blue roan mare.

It was a real pleasure dealing with you when negotiating the deal and the information you supplied about her was "spot on".

Buying a horse sight unseen is always a nerve wracking experience. However the time you spent and the manner you answered our questions certainly instilled confidence. Your description of the mare and her temperament turned out to be right on the mark. As you said the mare has a really gentle disposition and has fitted right in. In fact we have been able to put her to our stallion only 3 days after her arrival and now look forward to a colour experience with the foal.

Again thank you for your assistance and your obvious high standard of ethics. The horse industry can do with more people of your calibre.

Athol and Fiona Edmonds, Top Gun QH Stud, Tweed Heads, NSW.

We have purchased 3 horses from Ky-ean Appaloosa, Paint and Quarter Horse Stud. On each occasion the horses have been exactly as described with the last 2 horses purchased sight unseen. Kylie has always been very honest in her assessment of the horses stating any faults that a horse may have. I would not hesitate to again purchase from Ky-ean Stud as I know that

1. The horse will be as advertised

2. Ky-ean has an excellent history of top quality horses

3. Purchasing is a friendly and hassel free transaction

4. All documentation is completed and horses arrive in great form.

We hold Ky-ean Appaloosa, Paint and Quarter Horse Stud in high regard as they genuinely care for their horses and ensure the best of homes.

I highly praise Kylie and Dean Arnold for the effort and hard work that they put into their horses. There is NO BULL_ _ _ _ with them, I find them caring and honest people. I purchased an appy mare from them, the mare was broken in for my daughter, we have never looked back from purchasing this mare. Kylie and Dean are an asset to the breeding profession and I value their friendship.

bulletAmanda Godfrey, NSW

It is with great pleasure that I am recommending Ky-ean Stud. We purchased 'Spinnie' (Ky-ean King Of Spin) through a payment plan in July of this year, having him delivered in September. Not only was Kylie great to deal with but Spinnie is so easy to get along with too, we are sooooo pleased with him, he is great looking and has a temperament to die for. You guys do a great job!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much Kylie for all of your help and guidance, can't wait to deal with you again.

Amanda.

bulletTracy Thompson, QLD

In Oct 2004 I bought a weanling appy colt through Ky-eans web site, the horse was being agisted at Ky-ean stud while he was being weaned and sold. Kylie was handling the sale and was very helpful in everything she did for me and the horse. Billy the appy colt arrived in Qld after 2 and a1/2 days in a transport truck at 11:15 pm, he had to walk up our driveway past a horse float, a shed with spotties on and our dogs, he did all this without baulking at all.  I credit this to Kylie who halter broke and handled him at weaning.  Even now I can contact Kylie about anything to do with horses or just for a chat and she is always friendly and helpful, we are in constant email communication and although I have never met Kylie face to face I feel that she is a good friend.  I will definitely be purchasing from Ky-ean studs website again. I just want to let Kylie know how much friendly service is appreciated especially between horse lovers. Thanks, Tracy Thompson, Windhaven QH's and Appy's

"We purchased our darling Appaloosa mare, Nioka Miss Chilla, through Kylie at Ky-ean and we could not be happier with everything! Right from the very beginning Kylie was very helpful, wonderful to talk with on the phone, answered all our questions as well as taking such excellent care of Chilla until she left Ky-ean Stud to travel home to us here in North Queensland. Kylie went out of her way to do so much for us, this is rarely seen these days.  If you want to purchase a horse from a very reliable, honest and professional Stud we feel you simply cannot go past Kylie & Dean at Ky-ean"!

bulletKylie Read, QLD

I just want to let you know how happy I am with my purchase of Ky-ean Roanies Rattler. She is amazingly quiet, and really loves people, and she's very pleasing on the eye. She's even better than I was hoping she would be. Also just to let you know, Jageeta B San, whom I purchased from you a year or so ago is expecting her first foal soon. I can't wait to see what she'll have. She too is an amazing big girl. Thanks too for allowing me to purchase both horses through your term payment plan. I really appreciate the opportunity to purchase such quality horses this way, as I could never have done so otherwise. So thanks again Kylie. I look forward to my next purchase from you. I'm after a colt next time.

Being a trusting person and believing the best in mankind, I purchased a horse sight unseen that was supposedly in show condition, being double rugged, wormed and just had his teeth done. I bought him believing him to be a seasoned polo x horse. To my absolute disgust I was delivered a wormy bag of bones that hadn't had a rug on him for a long while.
My saviour of the day was Kylie Arnold of Ky-ean Appaloosa, Paint and Quarter Horse Stud at Manilla.
She took the horse and wormed, rugged, fed and cared for him for me and then found him a good home to go to. I was extremely happy with Kylies friendly and caring attitude. I highly recommend her to any one who needs to buy or sell a horse.
There should be more people in the world like her and less like the people who lie and cheat just to make some money.
Thankyou Kylie.

The Monte Experience

My first contact with Ky-ean came after I became so frustrated with the quality of Appaloosas available for sale in South Australia. I wanted a well educated, quiet gelding (of course he had to be handsome) and I just couldn’t find one that I liked. In April 2005 I started to browse the internet and it was then that I came across the Ky-ean web page. It was easy to negotiate, very informative and there was Monte. From my first email exchange with Kylie she was open, honest and very informative. More importantly though, there was a real sense that she and Dean were real horse people, they were proud of their horses and knew each one intimately. If felt comfortable from the very start. Kylie responded to all my questions promptly and thoroughly. She encouraged and welcomed a vet check and this attitude did not change through the whole payment period of 16 weeks. Kylie and Dean also welcomed me to Manilla and their property where I was able to meet and ride Monte with ease and comfort. He has now been with me in the Adelaide Hills since the last week of August 2005 and I am more than happy with him. He is gentle and loving and beautiful to ride. I hope to have him as part of my family for many years to come.

Kylie and Dean Arnold from Kyean Appaloosa, QH and Paint Horse Stud were very approachable and forthcoming with our enquiries about Ky-ean Colourful Cowboy, the gelding we eventually purchased from them.  Kylie helped us every step of the way from the purchase to the pick up and even beyond, as I still correspond with Kylie regularly.  Cowboy has really settled into our family and we wouldn't part with him, he is so special.  As a mature aged women with a young family Cowboy is exactly what I wanted for myself and my family.  It is with great pleasure I recommend Ky-ean Stud for quality horses with personality and top training, as what you see is what you get!

bulletTanya May, Moonlight Farms, Qld

I bought a chestnut overo colt from Ky-ean Stud. As we were struggling to sell our house at the time Kylie very kindly held him for us longer than she should have to ensure we were able to get the horse we were looking for. Jet arrived just after we moved and was a pleasure to handle from the start. It was easy to see how well handled he had been as we can put him with colts and geldings of all ages with no problems. He is also very well behaved around mares. We were so impressed with him we took him to a show only after having him with us for 2 weeks. He behaved perfectly. Our many thanks to all those at Ky-ean Stud who handled Jet to produce one of the most beautifully natured stallions I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Whenever I look to buy another horse I always check Ky-eans website first as I will not hesitate to buy other horses from them in the future.

In 2005, I purchased a horse sight unseen from Ky-ean Stud. I was very satisfied throughout the whole process- Kylie was polite and helpful all the time, even though I had many questions! She even offered me a payment plan so I could get the horse of my dreams! I had doubts about buying a horse sight unseen over the internet, but I could tell when the horse arrived that they had been very honest about his condition and training. They worked very hard arranging everything for me, even organising the transport down to Sydney! It was certainly one of my better experiences with a stud,  for they were never too busy to take the time to help me. Thanks Ky-ean!

bulletErnie and Cheryl Comerford, Qld
We purchased two horses from Ky-ean Appaloosa, Paint and Quarter Horse Stud In June 2004.
This has been the best experience in any dealing that we have ever had . The horses are wonderful. Ky-eans attention to detail and follow up after the sale has been outstanding.
We would heartily recommend anyone looking for a sound, well prepared horse to go no further than Ky-ean Appaloosa, Paint and Quarter Horse Stud

Just a note of thanks for my chestnut Quarter Horse colt Ky-ean Ima Double Pistol, also known as Aussie.  Aussie is now 2 1/2 years old and has been a pleasure to have around.  He is one of the fastest learning horses I've ever owned with a temperament that makes you forget he's a colt!  The first of his foals are due on the ground late this season and I have every reason to expect that they'll carry their father's easy going and willing to please nature.  Thanks again for this very special horse!

bulletAlice Ireland, NSW

I bought my paint horse Tux off Kylie about a year ago and couldn't have spent my money on anything better. I am so proud to be the owner of Tux N Tails as he is only rising three and has the best disposition of any horse and is quiet to go with that.

Kylie is a very friendly and caring person and looks after her horses very well. When I went to see Tux I think that I could have bought every horse there! I asked Kylie how she could even sell any!

I would recommend anyone to buy a horse off Kylie as she is very professional in what she does and they all have wonderful bloodlines and natures.

A BIG THANKS to our clients who have taken the time to put pen to paper and let us know how you felt about your buying experience with us, being able to place our horses with people like you make it all worth it.

NOTICE TO POTENTIAL PURCHASERS

Please GENUINE ENQUIRIES ONLY, in the past few months we have had numerous people default on the sale of horses (some genuine, some not), we understand that life can throw us all a few curve balls from time to time but the last few months has just been ridiculous as far as buyer defaults and 'tyre kickers'. We are pretty easy going people and have been in this business for more than 16 years now, we try and be as fair as possible with purchasers, represent our horses honestly and allow most anyone the opportunity to purchase the horse or their dreams through our Term Payment Plans, but be honest with yourself, if you do not have the potential to pay and care for the horse you are interested in or the experience necessary to handle, educate and care for that horse then please do not waste our time or your own. We are very happy to offer advise, solutions to any problems you may have and offer you a genuine and open run down on any of our horses available but 'time wasters', 'tyre kickers', 'window shoppers' or what ever you want to label them just make the whole buying and selling experience frustrating and unpleasant for all involved and it need not be that way at all.

If you expect a seller to be honest and courteous with you then please extend them the same privilege and don't waste their time. Over the years we have had numerous people make appointments to view horses and these people have not even shown up or bothered to phone to cancel the appointment, this is what most sellers deal with every day, so please show some common decency and honesty and you will be shown the same in return.

Thanks.
